If you’re looking for the best hot air balloon rides, sunrise is always the way to go. The winds are calm and sun rays hitting the forests and river as you lift off from the launch site. All our tours include the pickup and return service from your hotel or apartments. We are flexible and can arrange different spots for meeting or return. The duration of experience lasts around 3 hours.

Helping with the setup and takedown of the hot air balloon isn’t required, but we find many guests enjoy being involved in the process of inflation and pack-up.

What happens if the weather is poor?

You’ll be glad to know that our hot air balloon pilots are weather gurus. Since balloon pilots only use the wind for steering, it’s not possible to fly if the winds are too fast or going in a poor direction. If your balloon ride is canceled for the weather you’ll have the opportunity to reschedule or receive a refund.

What should I wear?

There is common myth surrounding hot air balloons what it will be very cold outside. The fact is that temperature drops only 6 degrees in the altitude of 1000 meters (3000 ft). It get's warmer from sun and the burners, so the same clothes as you would normally wear in current day conditions will fit perfectly. Although we do recommend comfortable shoes to walk on grass.

Why is the balloon ride flight time so early in the morning?

Sunrise in June-July can be pretty early. The good news is there are spectacular views from a balloon at sunrise. Close to sunrise is when the wind speed on the surface is slowest. If you aren’t an early riser, you can always select a sunset balloon ride. We meet about 3 hours prior to sunset for those balloon rides.

How will we get back from our hot air balloon ride reaching our landing spot?

During our flight experienced ground staff will chase balloon, meeting us on the landing spot, where after the packing and celebrating give guests a courtesy shuttle back to the town.

What is our company safety record? Has it ever had an issue or accident?

Balloon.LT is proud to have a perfect safety record. The main reason we’ve been able to keep this perfect safety record is we have experienced pilots who won’t fly in marginal or poor weather conditions. Our number 1 priority is the safety of our passengers and crew.

Nothing short of Amazing
It was a great experience for me. It was my first time of joining the air balloon. Tomas and his team were great in the arrangement, the timing, the hotel pick up and drop off. It was great having the flight as part of a balloon show. So one could watch different balloons take off at once. Our driver was very friendly, amiable and engaging through out the flight. It was nothing short of amazing. Thank you guys for the experience.

Worth the Money
I did the Trakai evening tour and it was worth it! Initially I wasn’t sure what time/place these tours were because there’s no option picking when you’re booking. However, I contacted them and asked if I can do the Trakai evening tour (7-9pm) and it was made possible. Keep in mind the timing is not a hard 7-9pm as we had to wait for other travelers and they look for different spots to launch out of. It was totally worth it because our navigator got as close as the Trakai castle as possible.Personally I was already staying in Vilnius so I wanted a different scenery.

Incredible experience!
The whole experience was amazing from start to finish! Tomas was so responsive, on time, and so thoughtful. The pick up and drop off service made everything so much easier, and the crew was so fun! If you find yourself in Lithuania, these are definitely the balloon people to go with!
